STATEMENT FROM REBUILD NY NOW PRESIDENT MIKE ELMENDORF ON THE
$2 BILLION WATER INFRASTRUCTURE PROPOSAL

“We commend Governor Cuomo and Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan for their commitment to invest more than $2 billion into our state’s aging, failing water infrastructure. This investment will allow local communities to make the necessary upgrades to ensure clean, safe and reliable water to residents throughout the state. From daily reports of broken water mains across New York State to contaminated drinking water, this additional investment will help to secure our future while creating thousands of good paying jobs.  We look forward to learning more about these proposals and working with all of our partners in government to ensure this money is included in the upcoming budget.”
